I have been practicing as a counsellor since 1998 firstly at ARC youth counselling and with AXA ICAS since 2000. Over that period I have seen over 2000 young people from the age of 5 upwards working in child development and counselling. I have also worked with over 5000 adults with issues from relationship problems to trauma.

My interest in counselling came as a result of experiencing major life incidents of my own, and needing help to deal with them. My involvement with charities began with a local charity HEADWAY, which helps survivors of major head and brain traumas, where as part of their management committee I could help some of these people, as they were helping my girlfriend at the time.

ARC youth counselling is a charity I have had the honour of managing for the past 10 years, with both school, and off site services in child development and counselling. Its achievement of winning the Queen's award for volunteering this year has been a wonderful experience.

While travelling on my holidays I met with some special people in South Africa, and having seen the issues facing their young people resulted in me setting up a UK based charity called SARC, as well as a NGO registered in South Africa. It has been running since 2004.

My latest addition to my work is with NLP4Kids.

I am enhanced police checked by all the organisations I am involved with, fully insured and first aid trained. I am also trained in child protection and have attended numerous training courses over the past decade - from working with addictions to person centred art therapy.
